Johnson County voters can cast ballots starting Monday, Oct. 20, according to the Cleburne Times-Review. Early voting runs through Oct. 30 at locations across the county, and voters may use any county early voting site regardless of their precinct. Election Day is Nov. 3, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The ballot includes statewide races for U.S. Senate, governor, and several other offices, plus congressional, legislative, and local county positions. Johnson County Judge Christopher Boedeker and several other county officeholders are on the ballot, along with three at-large seats on the Central Appraisal District of Johnson County board.
Cleburne voters face a $62.5 million public safety bond question. If approved, the bonds would fund a roughly 62,310-square-foot facility combining the police department, fire administration, and Municipal Court, to be built at North Nolan River Road and Airport Drive. City estimates put the tax impact at about $53.17 per year for every $100,000 in taxable property value. Sample ballots and polling locations are available at johnsoncountytx.org.
